Meet Umo Eno

Umo Bassey Eno, a Fellow of the Nigerian Hotels & Catering Institute (FNHCI), an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, Pan-African University, a distinguished Rotarian of the Rotary International District 9140 and a 3-Star Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) is an accomplished entrepreneur, visionary leader, and an excellent public servant. For more than 35 years, he has dedicated his life to service at various levels of leadership. He now serves as an inspiration to the next generation of leaders.

This bi-vocational leader established Royalty Hotels & Recreations Ltd from a humble beginning in 1997 with just 5 rooms and gradually evolved into a Group of hospitality and allied service provider in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large. He has effectively managed and provided jobs to over 2,000 persons in more than 12 locations (including offshore locations), adding its quota to the social-economic index of the State and country, thereby creating wealth for the teeming youths our dear State, Akwa Ibom. He resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Royalty Group in 2019 to join the public service.

He has served at various times in the following capacities: Honourable Commissioner for Lands & Water Resources, Akwa Ibom State; Chairman, Ibom Fadama Micro Finance Bank; Executive Director, Directorate of Agricultural Investments, Akwa Ibom State; Executive Chairman, Akwa Ibom Hotels & Tourism Board; and currently the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

He is an ordained Apostle in the body of Christ and the Undershepherd of the All Nations Christian Ministry Int’l in Eket. A ministry called to build a community of Christian Believers that transcend race, tribe, colour, tradition and denominations into a kingdom focused church with 3,000 membership congregations in various assemblies across the State and outside. Through the “Bridge of Hope” a community service unit of the ministry and his philanthropic gestures, several persons around the community have been touched and supported in diverse ways.

He is an author of several books including such inspiring titles as: Wealth Creation: God’s Way, Breakforth, Dream Again, Marks of True Friendship, 40 Days of Strength, and Exercising Your Dominion Mandate. He is a recipient of the prestigious Honourary Member Award of the World Conference of Mayors, United State of America; Highly Productive Company Award (Private Sector) by National Productivity Centre, Abuja and other several awards of excellence for meritorious achievements and community services.

He is the visionary and convener of Ibom Ignite. An entrepreneurial platform for igniting the passion in our youth and equipping them with the mind-set, skill-set and tool-set needed to become business oriented individuals succeeding in every field of professional pursuit. As an Akwa Ibomite, Pastor Umo Eno's vision revolves around furthering peace and prosperity by connecting the dots from our past, present to the future, developing our communities and providing sustainable jobs through industrialization and rapid development.

Umo Bassey Eno born in Enugu on April 24, 1964 to the family of Bassey and Eka U. Eno (CSP) who is a native of Ikot Ekpene Udo in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area is married to Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno, they are blessed with amazing children and lovely grand children.
