It was the first of it kind in our shores. By its design, IGNITE 2017 conference was geared towards arousing consciousness of participants to explore potential, stretch themselves towards attaining excellence in their pursuit of purpose. It added advantage targetted at showcasing ingenuity, adeptness and excellence in leadership, entrepreneurship, skills, finance, business management and investments, there by providing a learning and mentoring windows for participants and the general public who participated through live broadcast and live streaming of the events.

About 2000 energetic young people registered through online portal to attend the two events at the Rehoboth Hall of Royalty Hotels and Recreations Limited, Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

On the bill of the occasion were proven speakers, leaders of the corporate and business sectors, government officials and entrepreneurs, who took turns to share their experiences, impart knowledge and skills to the audience. Among them were Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr Moses Ekpo, the then Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke, Former Vice President, ExxonMobil and President, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Mr Udom Inoyo, Entrepreneurship trainer and StartUps consultant, Dr Abasiakan Emmanuel, Human capacity developer, Pastor Akomaye Ogar, SMEs trainer, Ms. Lucy Ekpenyong and Pastor Umo Eno, the then Governor / CEO of Royalty Group, who is also the Convener of the IGNITE.

Besides, several corporate bodies, including CBN, UN, BOI, SMEDAN, Banks, Government agencies attended the event and also made presentations on how the youths can leverage their services for startups, growth and sustainability of their enterprises.
